Why Boudoir Photography is so important…
A boudoir photography session is one of the most empowering, confident building, and fun experiences that you can do for yourself. Learning to love your body, accept your flaws, and feel confident in yourself can be hard; especially within today’s society and if you do not have a proper safe space and outlet where you can be vulnerable with yourself and explore your own body. No matter what you see on social media, all bodies are beautiful. Curves, stretch marks, cellulite, scars, acne, and everything else that is deemed to be a flaw is perfectly human and is what makes each of us unique. Beauty is within our inner selves; the energy that we put into ourselves is what will decide how we portray out outer image. When we can learn to be patient, gentle, kind, forgiving, and loving with ourselves and carry a positive inner monologue, we can truly grow our mental health and our self-image. Sometimes it’s hard not to be cruel to ourselves when we look into the mirror. We are our own harshest critiques, right? What is so beautiful about boudoir photography is that it gives you the opportunity to take a step back from the mirror and see yourself from another person’s set of eyes. Boudoir gives the chance see our most vulnerable and beautiful self in a way that we rarely get to see. Boudoir is all about the moment where you get to look at your photos and think to yourself, “wow, that’s me? I am so beautiful.” You see yourself for your true beauty, flaws and all. And for a moment, those big flaws don’t seem that big after all.
That’s where self love begins. That is why boudoir photography is so important.
Why I chose to become a
boudoir photographer…
It’s so great to meet you, my name is Haylie. I created Self Love Boudoir in 2020 after I had my first daughter. After pregnancy, I gained over fifty pounds and absolutely hated my body. I couldn’t accept my new curves, stretch marks, c-section scar, or weight. I missed my pre-pregnancy body and wished for it back every time that I looked into the mirror. That was when I decided to book my own boudoir session. I went into the session extremely nervous and thinking that I would hate the outcome of the photos. When I had the opportunity to finally see the final results, I was in tears. Not from hating my curves but from loving them. Seeing myself, I felt womanly, sexy, and beautiful. I couldn’t believe that I was being so hard on myself all along. I saw myself in a whole new light. Without that boudoir photography session, I believe seeing myself like that would’ve been a harder journey to accomplish. I became addicted. I was addicted to the feeling of learning to become so confident in myself that I finally didn’t care what others thought of me. I finally loved myself. The experience was so life changing for me that I wanted to help give others the same opportunity that I was given. I wanted to create a safe space where people could feel like they could be vulnerable and comfortable doing so. I love showing people their outer beauty in a new light and give them the chance to love their body too. Seeing their confidence grow throughout the boudoir journey is the greatest, most rewarding part for me. I am honored to be a boudoir photographer and that so many people trust me to be there with them on their journey towards self love.

The Consultation
I love to get to know you a bit prior to your session and what made you decide to have a session! We will chat via text, email, or phone call so we can set up your session and I can answer any questions you may have.
Step ②
The Big Day!
Today, you are the star of the show! During your session, I will be your personal hype woman and I will show you exactly how to pose and help guide you as much as possible so you are comfortable and confident throughout the shoot.
Step ③
The Big Reveal
Fall in love with yourself during your reveal session. Here, you will see how amazing you did and how beautiful you look in your images. This is when we will design your ideal photo package so you can look back on your stunning images for the rest of your life.
